Build Your Fan Score

Build your Fan Scores by owning Legits for your favorite football players and teams. Each Legit you collect earns you Fan Points, which can be boosted by placing them into your Collections. Permanently increase your Legits’ Fan Points by queueing up and getting them digitally signed by the players via virtual autograph signing events! 

Collect Essentials 

Essentials are common-rarity Legits that can be minted throughout the season. Collect enough Essentials and you can merge them together to replicate more valuable digital assets!

Trade NFLPA Legits

Trade your Legits with other Uplanders on the open marketplace or sell them in player-owned Fan Shops! It’s up to the player community to decide which Legits to sell for UPX or US dollars.

NFLPA Legits | Terms & Digital Asset Types

Essentials

Essentials are branded 3D digital assets that are not limited by quantity but by time and seasons. For example, a set of Essentials may only be available for a 2021 season. In essence, Essentials are more common digital assets that can be used to complete Legit Collections or combined to generate rarer, more exclusive digital assets like Replicas.

Essential Variants 

Essentials with a visual twist that have fewer total mints than standard Essentials.

Mementos

Mementos are rare, unique Legits (always 1-of-1) that commemorate real-world events related to the brand or persona. These digital assets are typically integrated with unique data such as a players' stats for a particular game. Players will be able to register to secure Mementos prior to a game's start. After the game, the Memento will be minted alongside the player's stats for that game. If the player has a standout performance that day, it's possible for the Memento to "catch fire," increasing its visual uniqueness and rarity.

Users can register to mint a Memento for one team per stadium each day.  Registering gives each user a chance to mint a Memento for one team during the Early Sale. After the Early Sale all users can mint remaining Mementos while supplies last, but users may have to wait a few minutes between mints. 

Your Team Fan Score increases your chances of being near the front of the Early Sale queue. You can boost your Team Fan Score by being one of the first 200 players to register for your team and by placing team Legits into completed collections. Your Team Fan Score can also be decreased if you were in the top 100 of the queue after registering for Mementos for a previous game this season for this team.

Replicas

Replicas are digital assets that can be replicated by merging (or "burning") Legit Essentials. Replicas of mementos are essentially copies of mementos and are generally less valuable than the original memento.

General Digital Asset Terms

Minting

An event that describes the creation of a digital asset.

Existing Mints

The number of mints that remain on the blockchain. This number changes when other mints are burned or merged.

Mint/Mint Number

The sequential number assigned to the Legit at the time it is minted. This number will not change when other mints are burned or merged. (Ex. “1 of 1”)

Total Minted

The total amount of each Legit that has been minted on the blockchain.

The countdown for when minting ends.

NFLPA Legits Bundles

Bundles for 2020 NFLPA Legits can be purchased from the UPX Store. Each Bundle contains football player’s themed Legits. After a Bundle is purchased, it will take a few days for the items to be minted and delivered to you, but don’t worry, we’ll notify you when they arrive. Delivery times may vary, but on average, delivery time is less than 7 days.

After your Legits are delivered, you can view them in your Asset Wallet under NFLPA Legits. Once they’ve arrived, previously unknown Legit details, such as football player name and team, will be revealed. Bundle Delivery

Whether you purchase a Bundle from the UPX Store or a Legit from a stadium, each item will need to be minted before it is delivered. Delivery time for newly minted items will vary, and you’ll be notified when these items arrive, but delivery is usually around 7 days.

Legits purchased from Fan Shops should be delivered within minutes after the transaction is complete.

Trading a Legit for another Uplander’s Legit will require an offer to be submitted to one of the players. If the relevant parties accept, the Legits should be delivered within minutes.

After your Legits are delivered, you can view them in your Asset Wallet under the NFLPA Legits section. Click on each Legit to reveal additional details such as the football player’s name, team, and stats (if it’s a Memento).

NFLPA Legits Mechanics & Features

Fan Points

Every Legit you own has a predetermined amount of Fan Points. Click the Fan Points icon when inspecting your Legit to view your Player Fan Score as well as your Team Fan Score.

Prove your fandom for individual football players by collecting Legits for each player. As you collect, your Player Fan Score will grow, making it easier to get Autographs and Spotlights.

Support any team by collecting Legits for that team. All the Fan Points for those Legits count toward your Team Fan Score. Visit your team’s stadium to view your current Team Fan Score.

Having a high Team Fan Score also increases your odds of getting a one-of-a-kind Memento when you register for a team before each game.

Points for Team & Player Fan Scores can be boosted by placing your Legits into collections or having them digitally autographed. Legits from postseason games also carry a Fan Point multiplier due to their rarity. These mechanisms to boost Fan Scores will be live in the coming months.

Registering for Mementos at Stadiums

Check-in to a stadium during the Registration Period so that you can mint a Memento for one of the teams playing in the next home game. You can only register for one team playing at each stadium, each day. The team with the most registered Uplanders will also give more autographs at the end of the game.

Memento Registration Stages

Stage 1: Pre-Registration Period

Before registration for the “Early Sale” starts there will be a countdown timer letting you know when registration for the “Early Sale” begins. Once the timer concludes, you will have to travel to the stadium and register for a chance to be included in the “Early Sale.”

Stage 2: Registration Period

The first players to register for the Early Sale will receive an Early Bird Boost to their Team Fan Score. Team Fan Scores increase the odds of being near the front of the queue during the Early Sale. This means that players who register quickly will have a slight advantage over players who wait. After registration ends, you will receive a notification with your spot in the queue.

Stage 3: Early Sale

Registered players will receive a notification when it’s their turn to check in at the stadium to mint a Memento for the team they previously registered for. Mementos are limited while supplies last and only registered users will have a chance to mint Mementos during the Early Sale.

Stage 4: Limited Sale

After the Early Sale period ends, the Limited Sale period will begin, which allows all users to mint any Mementos that went unminted during the Early Sale. During the Limited Sale, players can mint Mementos for either team, however, there will be a five-minute cooldown after each mint.

Stage 5: Unlimited Sale

After the Limited Sale period concludes(usually a few hours after the game is over), players can mint any unminted Mementos for either team without a cooldown.

If you have landed in the top 100 queue positions for this team in the last 4 games, your Team Fan Score, as it applies to registering for Mementos for this game, will be reduced. This decrease is temporary and only applies to this team. For a more detailed breakdown see the table below.

Stadiums (In-Progress)

Uplanders can visit stadiums to purchase Essentials, register for Mementos, view the Fans Leaderboards, view the home team schedule, and get in line for autographs. When new team cities open, teams not present in their home city will relocate to their new home stadium.

Players can view stadiums if their block explorer isn’t close enough to register for upcoming games. To do so, click NFLPA Legits and then Stadiums in the Menu. 

After selecting a team, you will get to explore the stadium as if your block explorer was there. If your block explorer is close enough to check into the stadium, then you can also register for mementos, get in line for autographs, or purchase legits for home teams.

Upcoming Features

Fan Shops 

Uplanders can apply to own their own Fan Shops. Shop owners can list their own Legits for sale at their shop, decide which Legits other Uplanders can list at their shop, and set a commission that is collected when other sellers’ Legits are sold at their shop.

Uplanders can also request to list their Legits for sale in Fan Shops. Explore Fan Shops in nearby cities for more information.

Trading 

Legits are fully tradable with other Uplanders.

To offer a trade, you’ll need to browse through another Uplander’s Assets by clicking on their profile, clicking their Assets, and selecting their “NFLPA LEGITS”. If their Legit is open to trade offers, scroll to the bottom of the Legit and click OFFER TRADE to start the transaction. Once the transaction is in progress, the other party must accept or decline your trade offer. You can also retract the offer by scrolling to the bottom of the Legit that you offered and clicking RETRACT OFFER.

You can also toggle ALLOW TRADE OFFERS at the bottom of any of your Legits. Toggle this off if you don’t want other Uplanders to offer to trade their Legit for your Legit. 

You cannot offer a Legit for trade if it has already been offered to another user in a trade or if it is for sale in a Fan Shop.

Registering For Spotlights 

Have you visited a football player’s home in Upland? It’s a great way to see their autograph schedule, pick up their Legits, and register for their Spotlights. If you own Legits for that player then you’re on your way to building up your Player Fan Score. This score increases your odds of being near the front of the queue when you register for a Spotlight and makes it easier to get autographs for that player.

Autographs at Stadiums 

Another way to increase the value of your Legits and boost their Fan Points is to get them autographed by football players! Swing by a stadium near the end of a game and join an autograph queue for the players that stick around after the game to sign their Legits; including Essentials, Mementos, and Replicas. You’ll need to have an unsigned Legit ready for the player to autograph before you can join the queue.

Autographs at Football Player Homes 

Do you have a specific football player in mind that you want to sign your Legit? Swing by their house in Upland and view their autograph schedule. The more Legits you have for that player, the easier it is to get their autograph after you join the queue. Once you’re in the queue, make sure you check in to stay in the queue or you could lose your spot! 

When it’s your turn to receive an autograph, you can select an unsigned Legit for that player to sign before they leave. Autographs permanently increase the Fan Points for the Legit!

Merging Essentials 

1. Each season there are a limited number of Replicas available to be created.
2. Users can merge 5 unique Essentials from the same season to make a Replica from that season.
3. The 5 Essentials used for the merge are burned (permanently deleted) and cannot be recovered.
4. Each Replica has a small chance of being a game ball regardless of the Essentials used.
5. If the Replica is not a game ball, one of the five Essentials used for the merge will be randomly chosen to influence the resulting Replica. For example, if the randomly drawn Essential is a Superstar jersey, the resulting Replica is more likely to be a Superstar player, more likely to be a jersey, and/or more likely to be from the same team as the Superstar player. Similarly if the randomly drawn Essential is an Impact Player cap, the resulting Replica is more likely to be an Impact Player, more likely to be a cap, and more likely to be from the same team as the Impact Player.

Collections 

Complete Collections to boost the Fan Points of your Legits. Each season you will have the opportunity to complete collections for each of the 32 teams. 

Legits that are stored in a completed collection receive a boost that increases their Fan Points.

Each Legit can be added or removed to an eligible Collection at any time, however, Legits can only be placed into one Collection at a time.

Leaderboards 

Check out the Fans Leaderboard at your team’s stadium and see where you rank among other Uplanders. If you’re in the top 3 after the last postseason game, you will win a super rare “one of three” digital asset catered to your team! 1st place gets Mint #1, 2nd place gets Mint #2, and 3rd place gets Mint #3.

To move up the leaderboard, collect and boost Legits for your team. Every Legit contributes to your Team Fan Score. The more Legits you own, store in your Team Collections, and get autographed, the higher you’ll rank.
